I would like to see training that helps higher education faculty and staff respond to the needs of students who are the first members of their families to attend college.
We are having an issue at our institution. Students are not able to review their answers for Atomic Learning assessments when the assessments are being embedded in Blackboard.
Can this feature be added? Perhaps a notification whether they get an answer right or wrong?
Our district is 1:1 with iPads at secondary level and cart based at lower levels. The Apple Classroom app for "in the moment" classroom management has been a huge asset to our teachers. However, not much training can be found for it. it doesn't require much, but some folks need the support. i think a small series on how to use the app would be really beneficial to a lot of people. Here's something I found on YouTube by ...more »
When we LTI a video into our LMS, there is always an 'Edit Playlist' button. It would be nice if that was not there. We have found that it is confusing for teachers and they get lost from the specific content that was intended to be embedded.
I thought I was assigning a full Hoonuit course (ie, 21st Century Skills Concepts) for my teachers with the full four components: Learn It, Do It, Share It, Prove It. When I checked the assignment on a teacher account, only the Learn It videos appear. You have to click on "See More On This Topic" in the left-hand column to be able to access Do It, Share It, and Prove It tabs. I called Support and there is apparently ...more »
There are a bunch of programs in Office 365 for Education that anyone in a district that uses O365 has access to. It would be great to see training based on those. A simple list includes:
Onenote for Class (Class Onenote)
OneNote for Staff
Google classroom is not the only game in town and the MS offerings are pretty good.
I would love for there to be a different dashboard for students, faculty, and parents when they login. Some of the content is definitely geared for specific audiences so it would be nice if those appeared first to them. Then they could still search the entire database for specific needs.
Data analytics systems are becoming more prevalent in schools, colleges, and universities--both in the administrative and academic sides. Tutorials explaining what analytics are and how they can be applied to improve student success would be a valuable addition to the Atomic Learning library. You would need to be careful to avoid using too much tech speak (which may trigger techno-phobia among faculty). My college is ...more »
I am interested in using Wix for student assignments, such as journaling, portfolio, and/or capstone project. Would you consider creating a how-to with Wix?
I would like to see a course that looks at user-friendly tools for concept mapping and graphic organizers.
I noticed that you do have one course on "Getting Started with Augmented Reality". Would you consider more on this, such as with the use of Pokemon Go in the classroom?
I see SPSS 22 in the Atomic Learning catalogue but I have not found anything on the more recent SPSS 24. Version 24 was released in March of 2016. Are there plans to provide training on the updated software? This statistical analysis software is in abundant use in higher ed.
