A request came in as a follow up to our Digital Video in the Classroom series. They would like a follow up series to be How Faculty (and/or students) should conduct themselves in video - Best Practices. From in a classroom setting to being on video, there is a big difference and it may help those struggling to engage with their students.
The Atomic Learning video player used by students and others is efficient, but has one very annoying problem. The control pane automatically hides, and is very difficult to access if one needs to rewind quickly. It is very slow to respond to a mouse-over in order to un-hide itself. How to use programs such as Sony Vegas to edit YouTube videos
Can you block users from advancing to the next tutorial in a series until they have watched the current one in its entirety? When I view staff times with OneNote 2013, for example, it states they've viewed 1h:24m of video, but the times between videos are unrealistic - 2 or 3 seconds between videos. Or, alternately, do not award viewers the time for the video if they close out of the video prematurely.
