I think it would be helpful to provide some type of training for all who are being harassed and/or bullied in the workplace. Many employees in a wide variety of companies are experiencing this to some degree in their respective positions, and they need to know how to handle those types of situations and also what their rights are in the workplace. I would like to see some type of training on verbal self defense skills. These skills are vital in any situation, whether it be work-related when dealing with a boss/manager/supervisor, or just in general everyday situations. My suggestions for these are as follows:
1) Put them at the beginning of each segment of the assignments instead of at the end.
2) What about having pre- and post-assignment assessments?
This type of behavior happens in many employers on a regular basis, usually by management or administration. I would like to see some type of training on what can be done to stop it. Include any legislation pertaining to this behavior, where employees can go for help if HR is ineffective, and the rights of employees in the workplace.
